"I would like to say a massive thank you to both Bethan and Josie [BODY-FIX Coach].I started the BFunctional BODY-FIX Program back in November 2019 and the results were amazing, so much so that as soon as I completed the first program, I signed up for the second. I didn't think that I would be able to complete one let alone go for the second program as I have Fibromyalgia; Josie has helped me gradually work my way through the program with patience and kindness. The chronic pain is very extreme at times. I have noticed that by doing this exercise program, I am beginning to strengthen my muscles, preventing muscle wasting and reducing muscle damage. The DIET-FIX is an easy to follow diet plan with recipes of tasty meals. Finally, it has helped with my wellbeing, I feel so much better in myself. I don't think in my lifetime that there will be a cure for Fibromyalgia, but this program is certainly helping me. "Before I decided to participate in the DIET-FIX by BFunctional here in Celtic Manor Resort, I was a bit apprehensive. "Is it going to be ONE OF THOSE DIETS AGAIN?" Where you either don't finish because you're constantly hungry or gain weight after. After meeting Bethan Fowler from BFunctional my mind was put to rest as I was assured about how it works and all with scientific approach. (which I liked immediately!) All in only 4 weeks! I was inspired and excited about it…what can I possibly lose? Except the weight of course! What attracted me the most was recipes included in DIET-FIX, simple, tasty and not time consuming. Throughout the whole process I was guided by very friendly Bethan Fowler, all of my questions were answered in a professional manner and at the same time in human language. In the first week it was a bit of a struggle to get my head around calorie intake but once in stride, it became exhilarating. In week 3 there was a "tiny blip" involving McFlurry but I guess I'm only human and it was a really hot day. That's my excuse anyway. After my 4th week of the DIET-FIX I had my final Lean Screen revealing a loss of 13kg! Of which 6kg was fat body mass. I've decided to carry on with this program as this is not just a diet for a month, but a lifestyle change. Working as a gardener in Celtic Manor Resort I need to rely on my body to help me with everyday tasks. My body is my tool! I've set new goals which include classes and 1-2-1 coaching with BFunctional to help me build lean muscle mass and achieve better physical, mental health, and be a part of the growing BF community."
"When I first started training with Bethan my diet was not great and I hardly exercised. I have always been quite an active person but hit a slump in my fitness and was finding it hard to get the push to get back into it fully. I decided to try a class as had heard great things from other members who went along and it sounded fun to try something different with the TRX. I was really impressed after the first class and felt I had achieved something and that was it for me, I was addicted! I now attend at least 2 classes each week and have found I am naturally eating better on the back of the classes. The environment and people who attend are great and I feel so welcome there it’s almost like our own fitness family now! I have definitely seen massive improvements in my fitness and physique and this keeps me going. Bethan's way of encouraging and teaching is amazing and her knowledge is second to none. She encourages me when I feel I can't do something and sets me challenges I never thought in my wildest dreams I could do. Outstanding step change was 121 session in the OW with Coach which radically changed the way I swim and improved confidence in the OW.
The advice that I have been given has been outstanding …. everything was relevant and helped enormously.
